The included UR/Pro Color Filter provides color correction in tropical blue water with available sunlight up to 80 feet (24 meters). A Green Water Filter (Product Number 6441.81) is also available to achieve more natural tones in green water settings.
Adequate light is key to crisp, colorful high-definition underwater video. Powerful lights are usable for both day and night diving.
The housing port is threaded allowing the use of 67mm threaded wide-angle and macro lenses. The native camcorder lens is has a relatively narrow angle of coverage, which is further reduced by refraction of light underwater. The addition of a wide angle lens allows you to fit in more of the scene and capture a more realistic view of life underwater. Some vignetting (dark shading in the corners of the image) will be present when using an external wide angle lens. This can be eliminated by zooming slightly or cropping in post-processing.
Special polycarbonate blends allow us to create an extremely strong, clear enclosure. We believe there's no substitute for inspecting the actual o-ring seal once your housing is closed. Our signature clear construction lets you see that the housing is watertight and dry before you enter the water, and provides full view of the camera while you're diving. Polycarbonate is fundamentally corrosion-resistant for easy maintenance year after year.
